With Shogun closing so quickly, I was fortunate enough to land a part in the original Broadway company of Miss Saigon. I performed with the show from it's opening night on April 11, 1991 until I left to work on the National Tour of Guys and Dolls, almost a year later. I had auditioned for Miss Saigon back home in Los Angeles. Final "call backs" were held in New York. Our opening night was passionately picketed by groups that felt the casting of our lead actor Jonathan Pryce was inappropriate for the half Vietnamese, half French role of the Engineer. Jonathan went on to win the 1991 Tony Award for "Best Actor in a Musical," for his performance. The company of Miss Saigon performed “live” on the Tony Awards telecast. The show continued to run for 10 Years, finally closing in 2001.

This collage contains photos taken during the run of the show. It also includes a collection of gifts I received on opening night in April of 1991.
