| In October of 1995, I was cast in Victor Victoria starring Julie Andrews. This show was an absolute blast to work on. The company was fantastic and we all had a great time doing the show together. Though the show was “egregiously” overlooked by the Tony nominating committee, it sustained a healthy run by any Broadway standards. When Julie experienced “vocal trouble” due to a careless doctor’s visit, Both Liza Minelli and Raquel Welch stepped in to the role of Victoria Grant. I performed with the show “on” and “off” for it’s two year run on Broadway. This production was filmed by PBS and is available on DVD. Victor Victoria also provided my first chance to sing on an “original cast recording.” | |
